The Challenge:

The Origin Australian Diamonds were heading into their biggest stretch of international netball in years. With the 2025/26 International Test Series kicking off, a Commonwealth Games in 2026 on the horizon and a Netball World Cup in Sydney in 2027, the timing demanded something bigger than a a content plan...

The Diamonds hadn't had a major brand campaign since 'Unfinished Business' in 2023, and with a new squad announced and momentum building, the time was right to give one of Australia's most iconic sports teams a platform to stand on.

Netball Australia needed a visual identity and brand campaign that could do several things at once: strengthen the Diamonds' brand independently of the World Cup, build unity and pride among fans, and produce a full suite of sports design assets that teams, broadcasters and partners could activate across every channel.

The Solution:

Sport Design Australia partnered with Netball Australia to develop As One, the Diamonds' first major brand platform in two years. The strategic direction was clear: allow fans to see themselves reflected in the team, and send the message that the Diamonds need Australia behind them as they march toward the biggest tournaments of the decade.

We led the art direction and key art, built the visual identity, and produced a comprehensive suite of sports graphics and social templates covering game day, MVP, player stats, squad announcements, starting seven, countdowns and campaign content. Everything was designed to live across social media, broadcast, out-of-home and partner channels, giving the Diamonds a cohesive and flexible branding system they could activate immediately and grow into.

The Outcome:

As One launched ahead of the 2025/26 ITS and gave the Diamonds a brand presence that matched the ambition of what's ahead. The visual identity scaled across every format, the social templates were adopted across the team and partner channels, and the campaign gave Australian netball a unified look heading into its biggest sporting window in a generation.

Following delivery of the visual identity, the Diamonds' creative and production teams extended the identity across merchandise, signage, and other live environments including in-stadium screen content executed by their internal and production partners.
